Day One: Workshop Jim ten Boske and Paul Driessen
Just like last year, Jim ten Boske and Paul Driessen opened the series of workshops around improvisation and popular music in front of a large group of guitarists. La Bamba, a three-chord song (C, F, G) which virtually everyone knows, formed a nice subject for an introduction in strokes, syncopation, accompaniment and solo. We had a large group, so the brainchild of Ritchie Valens got an orchestral approach. Very entertaining, it was a nice introduction for a large number of participants.
