Gaspar Sanz
This Canarios is a 17th century spanish dance, composed by Gaspar Sanz (1640 - 1710). Gaspar Sanz originated from the district of Aragon and taught theology at the university of Salamanca. The Canarios is part of a musical instruction book for guitar -Instruccion Sobre la Guitarra Espanola- which contains besides a lot of technical excercises a large number of arrangements of popular song and dance tunes from that time. This Canarios features the typical Spanish 3/4 - 6/8 rhythm.
