Sonata in C
Giuseppe Brescianello
There is little known of the early years of the Italian composer Giuseppe Brescianello (1690 - 1757). He was born in Florence and went to Stuttgart in Germany to search his fortune as a musician on the local court. He found a job as viola player and composed chamber music in the tradition of the Italian School.
The Sonata includes an introducing Allegro, a Minuet with trio and a concluding Gigue. Nice and typical baroque music to play. If you like, you can make it a virtuoso performance in the Allegro and Gigue.
