Baroque: Anonymous

Anonymous composer

Mr. Anonymous was less famous in the Baroque era (mind the contradiction). Partly as a consequence of the invention of book printing, the names of the composers became known, because people were proud to see their names on the front page. Nevertheless, we have an anonymous piece here.

Sheet music

This is a charming baroque sonata by an anonymous composer. It is my first guitar duo endeavour after DOS Amigos got dissolved, I’ll play it together with my guitar teacher during the music lessons. The sonata is technically a bit challenging, mainly because of the required tempo, but it will be a good practice

The movements are Allegro, Adagio and Presto. The piece is full of typical baroque musical devices and provides an interesting interplay between the duo partners.
