Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791) is one of the great composers from musical history with a clearly recognizable tone and signature.

Mozart was born in Salzburg. At a young age, he appeared to be a prodigy. As soon as Mozart was seven years old, his father started a tour all over Europe to introduce his son and to strive for appointments. After a lot of wanderings and meetings, Mozart landed in Salzburg again. He did not stay long, however, to the disappointment of his father, and took off to Vienna. There he would spend the most of his career and finally he would pass away there.

Mozart was an immensely prolific and flexible composer, the famous catalogue of his works, the Köchel Verzeignis, includes 626 works for solo-instruments, orchestra, chamber music ensembles and religious music.
