Black is the Color of my true Love’s Hair

Black is the Color of my true Love’s Hair is a folk song from the mountains of the Appalachians, a mountain range that runs through a number of states on the east coast of the US. Cecil Sharp (1859 – 1924) collected this song and chronicled it in the compilation English Folksongs From The Southern Appalachians. Given the lyrics, the song ultimately seems to be of Scottish origin. This arrangement is from Mario Abril.
