Although Fernando Sor was a Spanish composer, he wrote very few particularly Spanish pieces. In his compositions he followed the trends from the Paris guitar salon. This Bolero, however, forms an exception. For me it was a surprise to play Sor’s Spanish sound, this Spanish folk dance must be played en dansant.
