A Cachimbo is a Chilean folk dance, but the word also means “fresher” in the neighbouring country Peru. I guess it’s a hint for the atmosphere of the piece. The piece is a joyful guitar trio with an accompaniment in the well-known 6/8 – 3/4 pattern which provides the song with a typical Latin rhythm. Eythor Thorlaksson made the arrangement.
