One of Brouwer’s Estudios Scencillos Nuevos. A piece with interesting rhythms without extravagantly exotic contemporary sound. It is a homage to Alejandro García Caturla, a composer who used many Cuban themes and rhythms. The bass line forms a rhythmically interesting melancholic melody.

An Etude by Antonio Cano with a tender melody. Its challenge is to highlight the upper voice. I recorded the piece especially for someone as a birthday present.

A quiet piece by Gisèle Sikora. It comes from the book Guitar Music by Women Composers by Annette Kruisbrink. It sounds pleasantly melancholic with mild blues-jazzy chords.
