This is a Modinha by Carlos Gomes, a musical form from Brazil which has some likeness with the Portuguese Fado. A humorous piece in which you think yourself in a backstreet cafe where an experienced Casanova tries to cheer up an unlucky lover with his advices (‘conselhos’). Of course, it remains a question whether Casanova’s experiences will make you happy in the end.
