This Courante originates from a collection of dance music called Terpsichore, named after one of the Muses from the Greek Mythology. Detlef Hasselmeyer made this arrangement for four guitars. I recognized the melody, the Courante is the same as the setting of the Dutch Christmas Carol O Herders laat uw Boksken en Schapen (Oh Sheperds, leave your Goats and Sheep) made by the Dutch artist Herman van Veen years ago.
