This is an arrangement of a Catalan folk song by the Spanish guitarist/composer Miguel Llobet (1878-1938). The song is a Christmas Carol with a delightful melody which does not remind me of Christmas at all, in my mind it’s the song of a quiet evening at the beaches of the Mediterranean. Sultry weather with quiet waves under hundreds of stars Hmmm.. I’m longing for a holiday!
