Gigue (Nichelmann)

Gigue is the fast movement from a harpsichord suite by Christoph Nichelmann (1717- 1762) in an arrangement for three guitars by Andrew Forrest. As usual in a Baroque suite, the Gigue is the final opportunity for a flashy presentation. The parts are equivalent, even though guitar one will have to find a solution for the four-measure thrill, because it’s awkward with slurs alone.
