Christoph Nichelmann *


Christoph Nichelmann (1717 – 1762) was a composer in the transition time between Baroque and Classical. He was a contemporary and pupil of Bach and his sons, and studied with Telemann as well. He achieved a position as second cembalist at the court of Frederick the Great of Prussia. He left a repertoire of piano concertos, a few symphonies, piano solos and choir works.
