Since its establishment in 1998, on this site you’ll find sheet music for classical guitar from Renaissance to Romantic Era. You can select the pieces from a menu, read its description, play it if you like and print the score. The statistics of the DOS Amigos Homepage and the various reactions I received show me that many guitarists like this service.
If there are many pieces from the DOS Amigos Homepage that you like to play, you will have to print a lot. In the end you are stuck with a loose-leaf system or even a pile of print-outs without any structure. Oh dear, if you drop the binder and all sheets fall out! Without table of contents and page numbers it will be a tedious task to order everything again in the right sequence.
For this reason, I am adding an extra service to this site in the form of music collections in book form: the DOS Amigos Homepage Collection.
In the past, you could order the books directly from me. I would then take care of printing and shipping. However, that turned out to be quite a labor-intensive and costly process. Nowadays, I can completely outsource this via Printing On Demand. My POD company has its own sales site (https://www.boekenbestellen.nl/) where you can order online.
After ordering and payment, you will receive the book well-packaged at your home. Moreover, the company offers service and a guarantee in case of damage during shipping.
The new DOS Amigos Homepage Collection currently includes two books available for order, Night at the Opera and DOS Amigos Homepage Collection: Renaissance. I am currently working on the Baroque volume. After that, the Classical period and Romantic Era will be next. A growing collection!
Features of all parts of the collection are:
- Wire-O binding, i.e. spiral binding. You can open the book without problems on a music stand. Browsing during playing is easy without the effect of pages folding back inadvertently.
- Clear setting of the music in the quality that you are used to when downloading from the DOS Amigos Homepage. All music is scored in Steinberg Dorico Pro, one of the best score editors on the market. This software produces a beautiful layout of the scores.
- Practical breakdown of the pieces. You can play with a minimum of page turns.
- Professional level edition, you have the opportunity to determine your own dynamics and fingering without being distracted by existing fingering and dynamics.
In this section of the DOS Amigos Homepage, you will find book samples, a price list, and information about the ordering process.
