The Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759 – 1796) collected and edited the lyrics of My Love is like a red red Rose. It was already a folk song in its time, but his involvement made it known. Pietro Urbani (1749 – 1816) was the first to set the song to music at the end of the eighteenth century in his collection Selection of Scots Songs.
The Irish guitarist John Feeley wrote the arrangement, in which he hid the melody in various guitaristic musical designs. At the end you get to work with an arpeggio pattern.
