Groovy Kind of Love was originally a composition by Carole Bayer Sage and Tony Wine. However, the song was refused because the buzzword groovy was not yet sufficiently established in those days.
The song was not released until 1965 and was then regularly covered, with Phil Collins in 1988 as the most successful example. The arrangement is very similar to an arpeggio etude.
