This is an Allegretto in D major Op. 5 no. 12 by the Italian composer Matteo Carcassi. The main challenge in this kind of music is to play it such that its many variations of the same remain interesting. The music sounds so simple, that many players -including me- think that effort is not necessary for a good interpretation. Well, just try to play it like Uchida plays the Mozart sonatas on the piano. The music will definitely benefit from it!
