Tendresse (Kruisbrink)

A contemporary piece with a wondrous atmosphere. An invitation to be tender towards yourself too. The tempo is subject for discussion, initially I played it relatively fast, after a master class I slowed down considerably (the piece notes molto tranquillo e rubato) as an option. A very tense and exciting passage in the surprising complete dissonant at the end of measure 19. It gives the concept of tenderness a completely different dimension. The combination of plucked string with flageolet “on top of it” forms a technical challenge.
